Case Studies

Practical digital marketing built around the way local businesses win work. Explore how a considered mix of website design, local SEO and paid search helped two growing service businesses move forward.

SSM Recovery

From emergency call-outs to planned bookings

The challenge

SSM Recovery wanted to attract more than urgent roadside call-outs. The goal was to bring in work that could be booked days or weeks ahead, including collecting or delivering vehicles for MOT appointments. Broad recovery searches were highly competitive in Google Ads, making a conventional approach expensive.

What we did

We built a local search strategy around where drivers were actually positioned while waiting for jobs, rather than focusing only on the company’s base. We created relevant service-area pages, tidied and improved the Google Business Profile, and used Google Ads to create early demand while organic visibility grew.

The outcome

The campaign delivered a reported 13× return on investment in its first month. After the first few months, paid spend was tapered as SEO began contributing more work. The business also reports a number-one Google Business Profile position within a 10-mile area.

The Car Surgeon

Turning a new workshop opening into immediate local demand

The challenge

After working as a mobile mechanic, The Car Surgeon was preparing to open its own repair workshop. The priority was straightforward: attract enough nearby customers from opening week and build momentum quickly, without overcomplicating how those first enquiries arrived.

What we did

We created a new website with a strong local SEO foundation and made the Google Business Profile clear and complete. At launch, the focus was helping nearby drivers discover the garage and visit in person. As demand grew, we refined the journey to encourage phone calls and appointment bookings.

The outcome

Within the first week, customer demand was enough to keep the owner busy. As work increased, the workshop brought in a couple more team members. The next stage is to prioritise higher-value work as capacity allows.
